Job Description:

Pre- Sales Engineer Torrance, CA or Scottsdale, AZ ( hybrid schedule)Direct HireImmediate hire with growing company. Successful candidate will attend and participate in pre-sales meetings with clients as needed. Interview & question clients and Account Executives to ensure there is a complete understanding of client issues. Review & determine client expectations/needs. Review clients' RFP/RFQ/SOW, floor plans, and design documents. Respond to RFPs. Prepare comprehensive bill of materials & cost estimates. Prepare detailed Scope of Works / Written Proposals. Interface with manufacturers, purchasing, suppliers & customers and company personnel, as needed. Attend project kick off meetings and support Operations on projects by being available to answer questions throughout the life of the project.Required Skills:

  • Able to handle the Senior Physical Security Design Engineer / Estimator role without any guidance or assistance
  • 7 years' experience with Physical Security and Structured Cabling ISP and OSP design and estimating
  • Knowledge or experience in conduit / pathway design and estimating
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret RFPs/Specifications/Drawings
  • Ability to develop designs to improve functionality of existing systems
  • Attention to Detail
  • Proactive problem solving
  • Understanding of project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookBonus Skills:
    • Product certification, engineering credentials, or equivalent technical credential for the following hardware and software products as well as experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment is highly desirable.Be a part of the ConsultNet difference.
