This position will report to the Consumer Data Privacy Manager and
be part of the team responsible for establishing and maintaining an
enterprise vision, strategy, and program to secure American Honda's
information assets, services, and the products that depend on them,
thus building trust with customer and stakeholders and protecting
the privacy of American Honda's customers and employees. This
position will conduct activities to support the development of
processes, projects, and initiatives regarding privacy for the
purposes of achieving overall privacy compliance standards that
will meet and exceed the expectations set forth by U.S. State and
Federal regulators, Honda's executives, and other leaders.
Responsibilities include: Operations: Privacy Rights Fulfilment
- Collaborate with IT and customer service teams to fulfill
Individual Rights Requests. Prepare Data Subject Reports
- Maintain consumer-data privacy touchpoints, working with IT to
enhance UX/UI
- Support annual Privacy Notice updates and publication. Privacy
Compliance Business Analysis
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to document
privacy-related customer-experience flows and requirements, review
designs, test, and support implementation.
- Support the advancement of privacy controls on cross-company
initiatives, including but not limited to Privacy Technology Tools,
Loyalty Programs, Preference Centers, Cookie Management, etc.
- Advocate for Privacy by Design by engaging with a broad
spectrum of business operations teams to educate and consult.
Privacy Governance
- Serve as Consumer Data Privacy subject matter expert supporting
enterprise-wide working teams.
- Support your unit's communications in key governance channels
(Data Privacy Steering Committee (executives) and Data Privacy
Council (associates). Promote privacy policies and procedures.
- Document creation including meeting materials & minutes, and
reports, maintaining backlogs, tracking project deliverables,
documenting requirement sessions, decision logs, risk/action/issue
logs, and research. Compliance Expertise & Education
- Assist benchmarking privacy best practices with industry groups
(e.g., Future of Privacy Forum, Auto Innovators, Intl. Assoc. of
Privacy Professionals, Assoc. of National Advertisers, NIST,
etc.)
- Demonstrate continuous learning through training, participation
in industry resource groups, etc.
- Satisfy special assignments as requested by management to
identify, understand, or resolve issues including those related to
data privacy risk assessments and compliance. Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of privacy or business experience (such as
consumer products/services industry experience with privacy
regulatory, legal, or compliance experience, data protection
standards, and program management).
- Good organizational and time management skills. Work planning
and project management experience in an Agile environment is a
plus.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and
written.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively and tactfully with
various levels of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously with the
ability to prioritize multiple tasks and organize and schedule work
effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and legal research skills
are a plus. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business,
Management, or related field or equivalent professional experience
Desired skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint) a plus. What differentiates Honda

- Competitive base salary, $70,400 - $105,600
- Pay will be based on several variables that include, but are
not limited to geographic location, work experience, education,
etc.
