Job Description:

Facilities Technician I - Torrance, CA6 month contract$20.00 - $23.31/hr1. Provides general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision), including patching, painting, hardware repairs and other repair/replacement work as required.2. Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance.3. Dedicates some hours every week for assistance with general office work related to the work request system and the ordering of supplies and materials.4. Assist engineering team in various task like installing and setting up new equipment.5. Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.6. Assists, or performs solo when needed, general and detailed cleaning of all buildings, interior and exterior spaces.7. Specific functions include, but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing, and dusting floors, carpet, walls, windows, and doors; trash and recycling removal; cleaning restrooms; stairwells, offices and other areas as required.8. Follows the Facilities Work Request System.9. Completes all documentation for work performed, in a timely manner.10. Oversees and performs the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan in a timely manner, breakdowns are completed on schedule with spaces returned to normal state.11. Performs other duties as required.Start Time: 8:00am to 5:00pmLocation: Torrance 411 Madrid Ave Torrance CA 90501 Education:Additional Job Details:High school diploma or GED Excellent communication skills 2 years experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment Possess a valid driver's license Ability to enter data into computer maintenance management system Knowledge of the operations of internal combustion engines and electrical pump motors; safe work practices Some trade school education with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical equipment Knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in the construction, repair, and operation of engines, pumps and other mechanical equipment related to water/wastewater treatment plant operations and proceduresOpportunity is Calling,--Apply Now!
