company specializing in the development of market-driven products
for the transmission of digital multimedia (video, audio, and data)
over fiber.Many of BCI's clients are world leaders in their
industries, which span a wide variety of industry segments
includingentertainment, broadcast, medical, professional
audio/video, house of worship, education, government, military, and
transportation.The Purchasing Compliance Specialist is responsible
for monitoring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
related to procurement. This position is also responsible for
purchasing materials to support all stages of stages of product
development, working side by side with engineers and manufacturing
personnel in a dynamic and engaging environment. The successful
candidate will be responsible for performing procurement analysis
to ensure compliance with regulations, contractual requirements,
and Company policy.This is not a remote position.BASIC
REQUIREMENTS:
- Responsible for mitigating potential compliance risks.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance
with appropriate statutes, regulations, and company practices.
- Work with internal team on requirements and need dates to
support projects and customers.
- Ensure supplier assessments (Certifications) are managed
appropriately including validation of compliance to established
procedures.
- Conduct supply chain surveys for ISO audits, compliance
reviews, and report risks and recommendations.
- Support compliance activities associated with all supply chain
requirements, including RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals Prop 65, and
other projects as required.
- Purchase materials and services, obtaining maximum value in
terms of price, quality, and delivery.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Bachelor's degree, with 2 years of relevant experience,
- or Associate's degree, with 5 years of relevant experience
- or 8+ years of relevant experience (without degree)
- Certifications from Industry associations is a plus
(C.P.M.).EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of relevant experience (with Bachelor's degree),
- Hands on experience in RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals
compliance, BOM (bill of material) scrub and associated reporting a
plus
- or 5+ years of relevant experience (with Associate's
degree)
- or 8+ years of relevant experience (without degree)
- Experience in high-tech manufacturing/production environment a
plus
- Understandingand hands-on experience with manufacturing
resource planning (MRP) systems such as SAGE or equivalent.SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Excel, Word,
and PowerPoint
- Ability to commit and work under deadlines.
- Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and
attention to detail
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills; demonstrated
proficiency working with large data sets.
- Must be able to work in a challenging and engaging work

$40.86 ($85,000)
