  • Develop and manage the pre-construction budget and estimate through the estimate process
  • Conduct preliminary cost analysis and value engineering
  • Evaluate and analyze project documents, specifications, and plans
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Construction and sub-contractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimates/pricing
  • Manage subcontractor bidding and evaluating process
  • Conduct pre-bid site visits to assess field conditions and project feasibility
  • Provide support to project team during the construction phase
  • Continually update and maintain the estimating databaseQualifications:
    • 5+ years experience working as an Estimator
    • Must have hospitality experience, hotels/clubs/spas/restaurants etc
    • Understanding of Southern California building codes (preferred)
    • Experience working with Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid or Online Takeoff (preferred)
    • Ability to read and interpret conceptual drawings and construction plans and specifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
