Position Overview: - Under the direct supervision of EHS Manager, the EHS & Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the management system of Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (MESH) elements including Lock-out/Tag-out, confined space, fall protection and waste management. This position is also in charge of the facility maintenance activities in order to manage work orders and coordinate with landlord on building issues relating to HVAC, air compressors, plumbing, fire protection, building security systems, janitorial services, machine and equipment diagnose and repair. The EHS -& Maintenance Technician has uncompromising standards who works as a collaborative team player, communicates professionally, and demonstrates accountability. Is open to new and innovative ideas and focuses on continuous improvement and who brings a positive attitude to the workplace. He/she has good communication skills, both written and oral.     • Supports management of site-specific EHS policies, programs and practices
    • Manage the Maintenance software ( Dude solution) to ensure all facility requests/ work orders are reviewed and executed timely.
    • Perform weekly waste inspection and schedule pick up.
    • Manage vendors: Janitorial service, Fire protection vendor, -HVAC, Plumping, Elevator, -Machine repair, electrical installation, alarm system, landlord.
    • Take full ownership of MESH (Management system of environmental, health and safety) elements : - LOTO, Confined space, and Fall protection including understanding and executing the element requirements, periodically inspection, and keeping record
    • Participate in MESH internal audit
    • Keeps logs, documents PM reports, compliance to safety program, and provides timely and constant communication with the EHS Manager.
    • Weekly review and close out all safety observation reports / EHS related work order
    • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment to assure proper operation of equipment responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions
    • Operates and maintains power tools always keeping them in safe working condition
    • Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments.

      • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
      • Minimum 3 years' experience in the trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical maintenance and repair required.
      • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
      • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
      • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. - Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Torrance, CA will be considered. - Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: -
        • 3 years working in an Environmental, Health and Safety role
        • California Hazardous Waste Handlers Certification
        • D.O.T Haz - Mat Certification. Position Criteria:
          • Able to work some extended hours, when necessary, to complete a task.
          • Able to work in a team environment and demonstrate support of teamwork, cooperation, respect, and integrity.
          • Good verbal and written communication skills.
          • Proficiency with computer based methods and tools.
          • Ability to work well with others in the areas of teamwork and communication.
