Job Description The successful candidate in this position will
possess key skills and experience which include knowledge of
international import air and ocean transportation. This position
requires excellent organizational skills with the ability to
multi-task along with the knowledge to produce accurate workflow in
a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations
environment, while positively contributing to the success of the
team. This is a remote employment opportunity for an experienced
candidate who resides in either GA, TN, or AL. Occasional travel to
customer locations will also be required.Qualities

- Processing daily import transactions for transmittal to Customs
including CBP Form 214 Admissions, CBP Form 7512 in-bonds, CBP Form
216 Annual and individual permits, CBP Form 349 Harbor Maintenance
Fee
- Coordinating all PGA (participating government agency)
information
- Opening files, entering notes, information and document
requests in CargoWise
- Invoicing and manifesting information entered into CargoWise
and submitting invoice packets weekly to the customer
- Sending information/document requests to customer as needed for
PMD product master information
- Communicating with specified government agencies, customer,
carriers, and operations on all issues affecting customs brokerage
and FTZ related
- Filing document requests, correspondence and documents in a
file folder identified by the applicable admission number
- Ensuring compliance with regard to U.S. Government regulatory
agencies such as FDA, EPA, FCC, Fish & Wildlife, etc.
- Coordinating shipping details with U.S. Forwarders, Steamship
Lines, Airlines, Agents, etc.
- Converting and verifying shipment weight, volume and foreign
currency
- Maintaining communication with customers, carriers and
vendors
- Working with operations and forwarders on in-bond moves into
and out of the FTZ
- Assisting customers with questions, complaints, requests,
tracking and tracing
- Handling accounting processes accurately and in a timely
manner
- Coordinating shipments from airline, ocean piers and CFS
(container freight station) to the customers place
- Reviewing documentation or issue documents to meet government
regulations and carrier regulations
- Supporting, help and work with supply chain department of
customers and provide the solution or any kaizen action to the
customers
- Ensuring email and telephone calls are promptly and politely
answered

Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions Previous Work Experience
- Minimum 3+ years operational freight forwarding experience in
air & ocean imports Education and Certifications
- High school diploma / GED Experience Requirements and
Preferences
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills that
demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with range of
internal and externa customers
- Bilingual in English and Japanese or English and Chinese
preferred but not required
- Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft applications
- CargoWise, WMS, SAP experience is a plus
- Detail oriented with ability to solve problems independently as
well as in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience interacting, developing and maintaining
customer relationships
- Proven success in and improving quality, service, safety and
client relationship in a fast-paced high-pressure setting
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and
regulations (OSHA)
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to pass all TSA background requirements
- Knowledge of ISF filing
- Ability to work flexible hours according to business
