Supply Chain Analyst

Job Description:

The Supply Chain Analyst supports both production and supply chain teams in terms of updating/creating tools and reports to monitor production flow and reviews/keeps all kinds of supply chain parameters updated in EPR system. The Supply Chain Analyst performs and coordinates MPS and SIOP (capacity plan and forecast) activities with related parties in order to maximize both customer service and shop floor productivity while maintaining inventory at the agreed upon requirements. The Supply Chain Analyst has a full understanding of all Supply Chain KPIs and activities throughout all factories in Torrance facility.

Supports production team and planners to update production control monitoring tools (macro based refreshable WIP reports) and make modifications if necessary in order to improve and/or meet their requests.
Performs MPS and communicates/reviews it with APU managers in a regular basis. --- Performs backlog analysis in a regular basis to review with APU managers in order to see potential overloads in the upcoming months.
Measures actual lead times per APU/APG in a regular basis and communicates them with management
Reviews and updates queue times in ERP in order to reflect the measured lead times to the jobs running in WIP
Communicates lead times per APU/APG to the sales department with respect to management decision and make sure that all tools (including ERP) are fully updated.
Updates all regular supply chain reports and make modifications if necessary in order to improve and/or meet additional requests.
Creates new reports or tools in order to support production and supply chain activities.
Works with planners and make sure to keep production line fields in ERP system are up-to-date at all times
Reviews MRP parameters of active FG and RM items as well as the components in a regular basis and makes sure that they are correctly setup and maintained with respect to the instructions given by the Supply Chain Manager.
Establishes in coordination with the production teams the capacity plan and forecast for review during the SIOP process.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing production planning field.
Interact with all levels of employees including but not limited to shop floor, Supervisors, Sales Team, General Managers, Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Customers, and Purchasing on a regular basis.
Provide lead times for delivery quotes as requested by Logistics Coordinators or Sales team based on the contractual lead times agreed by management.
Makes shipment allocations and changes priorities when necessary.
Analyze customer demand and take prompt, appropriate action and elevates issues to Supply Chain Manager as necessary
Reviews and updates safety stocks and EOQs in a regular basis in order to reflect the changes in demand to WIP
Performs ad hoc tasks and analysis.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Maintaining a working knowledge of ISO policies, procedures, and directives.
Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements and safe operating procedures at all times.

Education and/or Experience
B.S. Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering. --- APICS or ISM certification is a plus.
2-3 years of relevant experience.
Working experience of manufacturing environment procedures.
Working knowledge of relevant engineering standards is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform strong affinity for mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Advance comprehensive concepts of calculating fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems collects data, abstract, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access, Intermediate VBA language.
