Job Description:

Support Shimadzu Medical Systems USA daily parts sales, logistics and equipment install base service operations. -Maintain accurate and adequate inventory levels while ensuring company assets are kept in a clean and secure environment. Complete product purchase receipts and returns are processed within deadlines. Work closely with the entire Operations & Logistics group and National Technical Support Department to ensure that open orders are filled in a timely manner.

This position reports to the Parts Specialist & Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Operation Manager.
Provide critical parts to customers, dealers, service department and other Shimadzu direct territories
Use company ERP, catalogs, manuals and other internal resources to identify correct parts, pricing and availability.
Work independently to provide exceptional customer service and support on the full line of Shimadzu radiographic products.
Back up the Parts Specialist in times of absence.
Record and post parts sales activity on GP Dynamics ERP system
Enter sales orders and process billing based on customer type and order type.
Ensure accuracy of billed parts serial numbers, item quantity and prices, customer account numbers, and delivery addresses.
Parts Inventory Levels and Control
Assist with daily parts receiving entry in the warehouse management system.
Report low stock levels and present purchase requisitions for approval by the Parts Specialist, Operations Manager and National Service Director.
Assist with inventory synchronization between ERP and WMS.
Support warranty claims and repairs to recover parts in accordance with Shimadzu Corporation and other vendor terms and conditions.
Support tracking and follow up on open warranty claims
Maintain inventory accuracy of the parts inventory dealing with location and integrity. -Ensure ERP information represents actual physical conditions.
Ensure internal stock bin and warehouse transfers are recorded and posted in a timely manner.
Assist with periodic cycle counts and fiscal physical inventory count.
Assist with scrapping of written off inventories.
Assist Operations Department staff when needed.
Parts product knowledge
Keep current on new parts, product updates and field upgrades.
Participate in available training and internal meetings of new products.
Maintain the overall condition of the parts areas daily. Ensure that the work environment is consistently clean and safe.
Store and archive sales order documents, shipping records, trouble reports, inventory movement forms and other supporting documents in a secure location.
All other duties as assigned or required by the Parts Specialist or department manager.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Individual must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous warehouse experience is essential, including the proper operation and care of a forklift.

Background in electronics and able to translate schematics and technical drawings is helpful.
Computer literate with the ability to utilize Excel functions and tools.
Basic knowledge in Distribution and Logistics is helpful.
Must work well in a team environment.
Must be a self-motivated individual.
Proper analytical and strong problem solving skills.
Must be motivated and work well independently.
Must be able to multi-tasks while aware of critical deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

English skills. Individual must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. - -Ability to write short correspondence, do entry on courier delivery services companies' computer terminals, send and receive communications via e-mail. Must be able to effectively communicate with internal staff, freight company staff and others in person, via phone or e-mail.

Basic math skills are required including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all common units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the capability to calculate freight charges based on weight and volume.

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to safely use the forklift for the proper and effective loading, unloading and transportation of equipment from/to shipping containers and within the warehouse. Must have the ability to set work schedules for self to effectively complete all tasks in a timely manner to meet schedules.
