About this Position:
Develops color, tactile and decorative identity for a vehicle's interior and exterior design on Honda/Acura programs. A Senior CMF designer has deep knowledge/experience of CMF process and can challenge specifications to improve appearance and/or functional attributes. They advocate development strategies, support cross-functional discussion, and train/mentor Junior designers.
Responsibilities include:

• - - - - - - Product Creation - Visual and vocal presentation of CMF concepts that promote and execute product/brand direction and strategy.
  
• - - - - - - Proposal Verification - Benchmarks and analyses cross-industry trends (auto, fashion, product design, and new technology) to confirm proposals meet consumer expectations and competitiveness.
  
• - - - - - - Feature Alignment - Independently negotiates with local/export sales and development teams on reaching consensus for best color offerings to maintain business goals.
  
• - - - - - - Technical Output - Inputs set NA/Global specifications for color, texture, haptics, and gloss development team. Collaborates to modify and reissues specifications to meet project goals/technical requirements
  
• - - - - - - Key Expert in one or more of the CMF commodities and creates specifications, processes, or strategies that are implemented through multiple programs.Who we are seeking:

  -Required Work Experience:
  
• - - - - - - - 6-10 Years of related work experience (with Bachelors degree)
  -Required Education:
  
• - - - - - - Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts/Fiber/Industrial/Transportation/Graphic/Fashion/Interior Design or equivalent work experience
  Desired skills:
  
• - - - - - - Must meet requirement for Color Vision Acuity test.
  
• - - - - - - Knowledge of material processes (leather, fabric, carpet, paint, decorative trim)
  
• - - - - - - Ability to demonstrate ideation/concept generation in a fast paced environment.
  
• - - - - - - Capable of leading a development project, including schedule correlation, supplier/engineering negotiation, and junior designer guidance.
  
• - - - - - - Ability to perform basic conceptual design activities such as sketching and visual communication.
  
• - - - - - - Ability to read and interpret design drawings and concept/styling data.
  
• - - - - - - Knowledge of suppliers, their products, and process capabilities.
