and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social

Development (SBD) business unit (BU) is tasked with navigating the
business and technology application path for Honda's future
renewable energy, resource circulation and innovative business
initiative products, services, and businesses. Our focus is to
establish an ecosystem of hardware, software, and renewable energy
that achieves these goals by focusing on real-world user
experience. By providing solutions to users that are intuitive,
generate value for users in terms of time savings, money savings,
and enriching their lives we can expand and deepen our relationship
with each customer. The team will focus on building and sustaining
Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and
competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating,
selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses,
features, products, and services with responsibility for their
profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda
in North America. The Partnership & Alliance Lead will lead BU
alliance activities and is looked to as expert in partnerships and
negotiations.The Lead will employ partnering as an adjunct to
internal development activities and will strategically develop and
manage the alliance partnerships to drive business growth, enhance
market position, and foster innovation within the organization.
This role requires the ability to establish and nurture
collaborative relationships within key alliance partners. The Lead
is responsible for leveraging external relationships to optimize
operational efficiency, capitalize on shared expertise, and
facilitate the development and implementation of joint initiatives
that create value for all stakeholders. By effectively managing
alliance relationships, the Lead plays a crucial role in
positioning the organization as a leader in the industry, driving
strategic initiatives, and unlocking new opportunities for growth
and innovation.. Responsibilities include: - Foster a culture of
innovation and collaboration within alliance partnerships,
encouraging the exchange of ideas and exploration of new
opportunities. o Grow external business relationships in
value-creating, collaborative ways. o Drive business growth and
market expansion through effective alliance management, resulting
in increased revenue, market share, and brand recognition. o
Collaborate with alliance partners to leverage shared expertise,
capabilities, and resources to create innovative solutions and
products. - Identify strategic partnership opportunities aligned
with the organization's goals and objectives. o Gain alignment on
Honda goals and partnership objectives. o Recognize and align
capabilities, culture, and motivations with partners. - Develop and
execute alliance strategies. o Negotiate partnership agreements,
define goals, and establish performance metrics. o Conduct thorough
analysis and due diligence to assess the potential impact and
viability of alliance relationships. o Make informed decisions
regarding resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management
related to alliance initiatives. o Mitigate risks and anticipate
potential challenges associated with alliance relationships. -
Oversee and manage a portfolio of alliance relationships, ensuring
alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. o Manage
alliances to achieve their strategic intents o Effective and
proactive communication and trust building with internal and
external parties. o Develop contingency plans and effectively
manage any issues or conflicts that may arise within partnerships.
- Professional Partnership Development o Continuously pursue
professional development opportunities to stay abreast of industry
advancements and best practices in alliance management. o Develop
and employ best practices, tools and processes for partnership and
alliance development and management. Who we are seeking: Required
Experience: - 7+ years of experience in strategy, alliance
management and relationship building - Excellent research,
technical writing, communication and presentation skills - Ability
to think big picture and out of the box - Experience in presenting
at executive level meetings - 7+ years managing major projects and
complex initiatives to include business development, design &
development, manufacturing, sales and strategic planning. - 1+
years personnel management - 5+ years leading cross functional
teams Required Education: BA/BS in business, marketing, or
engineering; Master's degree or MBA highly preferred Other
job-specific skills: - Alliance & Partner (External) relationship
management - Excellent networking and communication skills -
Financial analysis Additional Position Factors: - Work is primarily
conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities
for collaboration. - Hybrid (office/home) work is available. -
Travel and overtime are occasionally required. Travel and overtime
