Accounts Payable Senior Manager

Guides and directs the daily operations of our Accounts Payable Department overseeing a wide range of responsibilities within procure-to-pay. Develops and implements process improvements through both systems-based and procedural updates. Leads team members in the department, while also motivating the team to take ownership and work toward continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

  • Manages all aspects of the Accounts Payable function including vendor relations, vendor master file maintenance, invoice processing, disbursements, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Oversees the 1099 process.
  • Develops KPIs and dashboards for management reporting.
  • Manages employee expense reimbursement process and maintenance of the expense reporting platform.
  • Implements automated ACH file upload process with banks.
  • Collaborates with Procurement to improve purchase order accuracy and maintenance.
  • Performs periodic reconciliations with major vendors.
  • Monitors and resolves aged AP items.
  • Assists in the preparation of accruals in conjunction with month-end close process.
  • Assists with invoice processing.
  • Manages and evaluates effectiveness of AP workflow system
  • Manages and reconciles the AP-related general ledger accounts
  • Manages the intercompany billing process and reconciliations
  • Assists in the management of purchase orders process
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
  • Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience of Accounts Payable related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
  • Must be proficient with Excel
  • Minimum 3 years' Experience with large ERP AP system
  • Minimum 3 years of 1099 filing experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on Accounts Payable principles
  • Certified Accounts Payable Specialist preferred
  • 3-5 Years' Experience working with SAP and Concur preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles as they relate to prepaid assets and accrued liabilities preferred

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
