Under direct supervision, assists the Director of Pharmacy and
Staff Pharmacists to compound, fill and dispense pharmaceutical
preparations at the hospital pharmacy within the laws, rules and
regulations of the State, Federal and Board of Pharmacy agencies.
Must be able to provide minimum availability for 3 shifts per
month, Mondays and Fridays and 1 weekend shift per month.

Education: Completion of a pharmacy technician vocational
Credentials: Current licensure/registration as a Pharmacy
Technician through the State of California Board of Pharmacy.
- Must have knowledge of basic pharmacy practices, procedures,
medications and medical supplies;
- Must have strong mathematical computation skills to enable
calculation of drug dosages and infusion rates;
- Must have accurate typing skills;
- Must have basic understanding of computer technology
- Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on
scientific and/or ethical principles;
- Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong
communication skills, written and verbal.
