CMTC is a private, nonprofit consulting and training organization focused on assisting small to mid-size California manufacturers grow profitably. We are currently seeking a dynamic, driven professional to join our Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the President / CEO.Accountability: Oversee and provide the leadership, planning and vision necessary to ensure that CMTC has the proper resources, metrics, culture, operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures effectively manage the operations team, ensure financial performance and operating efficiency. The COO Position is accountable for:* Developing an operations plan that conforms to and supports the Strategic Plan goals, strategies and objectives.* Managing annual operational goals and objectives, budget and resource plan that assures CMTC's financial performance remains cumulatively net positive Aligning the Operations, Partnerships and Technology Teams into a collaborative, group that focuses on achieving goals, higher performance and continuous improvement.* Achieving annual operation's goals.Responsibilities* Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans designed to accommodate economic and funding fluctuations.* Assure integration of operational departments to deliver a unified CMTC approach to serve manufacturers state-wide.* Provide leadership for continuous improvement of products and services, and for processes and business systems that impact operations.* Develop, recommend and implement updated and new operations policies (e.g., pricing, new products, training) to continuously improve customer satisfaction and impact* Contribute to the development of CMTC's strategic policies and plans.* Provide leadership to adjust, recruit, hire operations personnel to achieve annual resource and performance plans,* Plan, control and monitor s and achieve goals set for MEP Performance metrics* Provide reports as required to management and state and federal government.* Lead the development of initiatives that will continuously improve the organization's service delivery capability* Provide leadership to d continuously improve the performance of CMTC's integrated business model statewide.* Establish and maintain key community, business and legislative relationships to further our recognition as a leader in serving manufacturers statewide.* .Prepare for and participate in Board of Directors meetings as a non-voting member.* Act as the company's operational advisor.* Promote and adhere to CMTC's Core Values.Requirements* Master's Degree (preferred) Bachelor's degree (required) in business or related field.* Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.* Senior management experience in manufacturing or serving the manufacturing sector.* Sales and Marketing experience preferred.* Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.* Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems. * 10+ years of progressively responsible senior-level operational experience in a multi-office, mid-sized or larger professional services environment.* A minimum of 15 years as a Consultant with experience in solution selling, or as a Director of Consultants.* Proven track record of using technology-based solutions to streamline manual processes and improve access to information.* An insightful and proactive thinker who can effectively meet or exceed company goals.* Excellent leadership and management skills, with proven ability to build and motivate a team and to work within a complex, fast-paced business environment.* Exceptional communication skills.Demonstrate And Champion CMTC Core Values* Customer Focus - To provide the value to stay engaged* Innovative Orientation - To create unique and impactful solutions* Employee Centric - To contribute to making CMTC a "Great Place to Work".* Collaborative Mindset - To accept the contribution of others for broader and more diverse thinking* Desire to Learn - To increase capabilities and customer value* Passion for the Mission & Vision - To ensure we make a differenceFor immediate consideration, please submit your credentials to or directly to Jeri Summer at
