The Ideal Candidate: Will be responsible for all accounting,
budgeting, and other financial matters of the company.
Will articulate the company's financial strategy, both
internally and to external investors.
Will be responsible for certifying quarterly statements and
meeting all financial and accounting compliance and regulatory

Responsibilities & Goals: Act as Chief Financial Officer and
strategic business partner to senior executive leadership team.
Assess and evaluate financial performance of the company with
regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and
long-term business growth plans.
Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with
the company’s plan for growth and expansion.
Identify and implement systems and processes to provide critical
financial and operational information.
Evaluate the finance and accounting function and make
suggestions for increasing productivity and enhancing
Communicate, engage, and interact with Board of Directors, CEO,
and Executive Leadership Team.
Select and engage with consultants, auditors, and investors as
Recruit, interview, and hire finance and accounting staff as
Interact with and align the finance and accounting function with
Board of Directors’ plans, initiatives, and recommendations.
Implement policies, procedures, and processes as deemed
appropriate by senior leadership team.
Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports
including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and weekly
cash flow by department.
Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide
Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives,
product launches, and/or new service offerings.
Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company
Manage financial planning and analysis activities.
Manage the accounting team to ensure the proper functioning of
all systems, and execution of processes.
Review, manage, and ensure application of appropriate internal
controls, SOX compliance, and financial procedures.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management
reporting data to investors and the company’s board of
Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and
annual financial statements.
Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state,
and federal tax returns.
Ensure SOX compliance regarding all financial functions.
Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger
accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems,
processes, tools and control systems
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage
preparation and support of all external audits.
Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations
on potential returns and risks.
Maintain and manage banking relationships and strategic
alliances with vendors and business partner as needed
Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions,
investors, public auditors, and officials.
Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to
provide financial insight into the company’s plans and operating
Remain current on audit best practices as well as state,
federal, and local laws regarding company operations.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
Working experience in Big 4 Public Accounting or Automotive
5 years minimum experience as a CFO in a large ($1B+), publicly
10+ years total accounting or finance experience
Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRS, SOX
compliance, and SEC reporting.
Hands-on working experience with finance and accounting systems
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
Significant experience in building and managing financing
Significant experience in dealing with large asset-backed
financing and similar forms of financing
Significant experience working with external auditors, internal
controls, and compliance-related issues.
Significant experience representing the company to external
Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in
