National Postdoctoral Association Career Center Description
This is a hybrid role leading internal communication strategies
at SCIEX and Phenomenex, working in partnership with the Senior
Director of Human Resources at Phenomenex and the Director of
Internal Communications at SCIEX. The successful candidate will
create and execute effective global communication plans to keep
associates informed and engaged on business performance, people
programs, organization change and other business function
initiatives. They will also play an important role in developing
new standard work and enhancing existing programs and processes to
help integrate inclusive practices in the way we operate, creating
a more diverse and inclusive company culture.
Develop, manage and execute a strong communications program that
informs associates on key business initiatives, organization
changes, performance and development programs, engagement
activities and other important business and support function
Partner with the senior leadership team to simplify and
communicate the company's strategic priorities and initiatives for
Regularly update associates on progress against these priorities
through business updates, messages from the president, leader
videos and other effective communication channels.
Partner with the senior leadership team to develop, communicate
and execute a Global Engagement Action Plan based on Phenomenex's
Engagement Survey results.
Partner with senior leaders and HR leaders to communication
strategic organization changes
Support the Human Resources team with communicating HR cycle
processes (P4G, D4G, OTA, Total Rewards, etc.)
Partner with the Danaher communications team to ensure Danaher
led programs are communicated to Phenomenex associates.
Assist with developing and distributing COVID-19 related
communications to leaders and associates.
Provide communication guidance and channel support on business
Partner with the Global Marketing team to manage internal
communication channels - maintenance as well as reporting and
analysis with the intent to improve functionality, content and
Partner with Marketing on employee experience content for use on
Phenomenex social channels.
Provide guidance and support on content development for the
President's LinkedIn feed.
Provide guidance and support to the Phenomenex Philanthropy
Support the development of standard work to create a culture
rooted in diversity and inclusion.
Partner with the SCIEX D+I Council to create and execute
communication plans for global initiatives and programs.
Provide guidance to the SCIEX D+I committee on regional
activities and communications.
Collaborate with Danaher and the Life Sciences Platform to
enhance and activate SCIEX's Associate Value Proposition (AVP).
Develop standard work for identifying, managing, measuring and
sustaining partnerships with professional organizations.
Develop a process to support continuous dialogue with associates
on topics related to diversity and inclusion. As well as create
standard work to transition the D+I dialogue into action.
Review Talent Management Programs (P4G, D4G, OTA, etc.) and
augment processes and/or materials to advance inclusive behaviors
among People Leaders.
Required Job Qualification
Bachelor's degree or post-graduate degree in Communications,
Journalism, English or related field. Work or academic background
in Life Sciences is a strong plus.
8+ years of internal communications experience building
enterprise-wide programs for corporate organizations.
Experience and exposure in designing creative global
communication strategies and executing effective plans to increase
associate awareness, knowledge and engagement.
History of building strong working partnerships with senior
management, providing counsel and insight into best practices.
Experience working with highly confidential or sensitive
Experience identifying, selecting and managing vendors.
Significant intranet and internal communication tool management
Exceptional writing/editing experience, with an ability to take
complex ideas and translate them into key messages and creative
executions that resonate with employees and/or other
