partnering with a respected law firm to hire an experienced Office
Manager to oversee daily operations and support a high-performing
legal team. This position plays a key role in maintaining an
efficient, professional, and service-oriented workplace while
collaborating closely with firm leadership. About the Role This
position works alongside senior administrative leadership and the
local managing partner to guide the day-to-day functioning of the
office. The Legal Office Manager will oversee administrative staff,
support attorneys in delivering outstanding client service, and act
as a primary point of contact for vendors, building management, and
internal departments. Key Responsibilities Human Resources &
Employee Relations Oversee local hiring processes for staff,
including onboarding, orientation, and compliance documentation.
Manage offboarding procedures, firm property collection, and
updates to department resources. Lead performance management
efforts, including evaluations, goal-setting, coaching, and
corrective action when needed. Coordinate staff schedules, PTO
requests, and timekeeping through the HR system. Support employee
engagement by organizing office events, celebrations, and
recognition initiatives. Partner with attorneys and staff to ensure
efficient workflow and consistent client support. Manage HR-related
budgets for office activities and events. Facilities & Operations
Oversee office maintenance, workspace ergonomics, and general
safety matters. Maintain supplies, equipment, furniture, and office
common areas. Coordinate conference room scheduling, catering
needs, and office moves. Serve as the local point of contact for
building management and security. Assist with emergency
preparedness procedures and business continuity efforts. Manage
onsite service providers (e.g., records, mailroom, facilities
support). Oversee parking administration and related billing.
Participate in space planning, redesigns, or relocation projects.
Finance, Purchasing & Vendor Relations Manage relationships with
local vendors and service providers. Oversee procurement,
inventory, and expense reconciliation. Approve administrative
invoices and process expenses through the firm's accounting system.
Handle basic banking responsibilities, including deposits and
coordinating wire transfers when needed. Communications & Community
Engagement Act as a liaison between the office and firm leadership
on local operational matters. Coordinate logistics for seminars,
client events, and in-office programs. Represent the firm within
the local business and legal community as appropriate. Other
Responsibilities Support general administrative initiatives as
needed and take on additional duties assigned by leadership.
Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in business
administration, HR, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of office management or administrative leadership
experience within a law firm or other professional services
environment. 2-4 years of HR-related experience, including
knowledge of relevant employment laws. Strong proficiency with
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Prior law
firm experience strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Highly
organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing
priorities. Professional, service-focused, and responsive in a
fast-paced legal environment. Strong problem-solving ability with
sound judgment. Ability to lead and develop staff effectively.
Reliable and consistent attendance. Work Environment & Physical
Expectations This role is based in a traditional office setting
using standard office equipment. The position may occasionally
require extended hours. Light physical activity may be needed for
office tasks, such as lifting supplies or moving materials under 25
pounds. Compensation & Benefits The targeted salary range for this
role is $100,000-$115,000 , depending on experience, skills, and
