The Advanced Technology Group within Aioi Insurance USA specializes in Research and Development of new technologies that can be used by both the automotive and insurance industries. We are developing new technologies called MOTER, Mobility On The Edge in Real-time, which will fill in a gap between the mobility and insurance ecosystems.MOTER Technologies is working to unlock the world of connected car data to power new products and services for the automotive, mobility and insurance ecosystems. Our advanced data science and software platform will create new insights from vehicle data to power the next generation of risk analytics and insurance solutions. The technology and business platform allow automakers to finally realize their connected car data monetization goals and improve their ROI in this growing space.Job Overview:The Head of Business Development for Technology and Automotive is an important role for our organization and will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Head of Business Development will lead the company in building and maintaining commercial partnerships focused on the automotive industry and adjacent technology providers.Additionally, the Head of Business Development will be the lead for understanding customer needs, market opportunity and insights into competitive activity. You will provide subject matter expertise contributing to the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives and help define the vision, strategies, and tactics.Job Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives and help define the vision, strategies, and tactics.
• Research and analyze industries, market segments, and business models and evaluate the merits of alternatives and presents findings to executive management.
• Support key strategic projects by working with internal and external partners towards joint development goals.Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS, in an engineering discipline and/or business.
  • Minimum 5-7 years in business development focused on the automotive industry for a technical product or service.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience selling intangibles, technical services, data-driven products a plus.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, start-up environment.
    • Strong track record of success selling to automakers, Tier 1 suppliers.
    • End-to-end negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships such as large-scale technical or marketing deals, complex automotive technology related transactions, and/or strategic automotive technology relationships.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
