If these types of projects excite you, we'd love for you to join our team and help us detect, protect, and connect.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all work is completed on time and to specificationResponsible for mentoring, leading and supervising employeesSupervise the production flow within their respective area and ensuring safety and the efficiency of entire shop floorAssess the work performance of their employees against clearly established expectations and identifying areas that need improvement (provide documented coaching where necessary)Work with technicians, manufacturing engineers, and quality teams to resolve reoccurring nonconformance issuesEnsure that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are metCoordinate with engineering and other departments to minimize production interruptionsSchedule risk identification and mitigationCollaborate with manufacturing and design engineers aPerform root cause analysis and the implementation of corresponding corrective action plansReduction of downtime for product and personnelLead efforts to transition product from engineering development to full rate productionReview work instructions to ensure shop floor tech's have accurate and complete instructions and if necessary recommendation changesMeet tight production schedules to achieve high rate productionTrain and onboard newly hired employees to make sure the understand their rolesDrive shop floor culture, enforce systems and corporate policiesDevelop, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing system policies, and proceduresMonitor labor hours and overtime, and implement improvement plans and time management with staffCapacity planning of equipment and personnelQualificationsBachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:2+ years of experience with lean manufacturing principles and efficiency methodsExperience bringing teams and processes from development to productionAbility to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and productionExperience with applying lean manufacturing principlesAble to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environmentExcellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracySafety training and/or safety certificationsLean manufacturing training and experienceExperience monitoring, tracking and continually improving the total cost equationExperience with applying lean manufacturing principles, efficiency methodsExperience solving manufacturing problems related to incapable processes and or designsDemonstrated record of high-performanceADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:This is a salaried (exempt) rolePosition may require long hours and weekend workStellant Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
