irresistible Hawaiian food from our menu, ensuring food is handled
and prepared with Aloha for our guests. FULL and PART-TIME
positions available. This is a phenomenal opportunity to join our
'ohana at our Kings Hawaiian Restaurant and Bakery in Torrance. Job
Requirements:
- Prepares all dishes on menu with an emphasis on taste and food
quality.
- Prepares items needed for front line.
- Ability to work all stations, front line, and prep areas.
- For opening shift opens line and preps for the day.
- For closing shift closes line, puts away all items used, and
cleans line.
- Ensures food quality and proper presentation of plates in a
timely manner to guests.
- Keeps food areas organized and ready for daily business and
rush times.
- Keeps guest and employee areas clean, safe, and stocked for
daily business.
- Ensures procedures in food areas are sanitized according to
Department of Health standards.
- Maintains the front-line equipment and follows schedule to keep
line, equipment, and station clean.
- Keeps work area clean by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping
down equipment.
- Keeps all reach-ins, coolers, walls, floors, shelves, drains,
and mats clean.
- Follows all sanitation guidelines as prescribed by the health
department.
- Cooperates on all matters relating to safety and health in the
work area.
- Understands and complies with all general and specific safe job
procedures that apply to this job including using knives safely,
wearing slip resistant shoes, utilizing proper lifting
techniques.
- Maintains the safe and proper use of all equipment.
- Completes side work and other tasks as assigned.
Skills/Experience:
- Speaks and understands basic English.
- Ability to work all stations, both front line and prep
areas.
- Love for food with cooking experience in a restaurant
preferred
- Able to arrive on time ready to work for all assigned shifts
including, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel and stand for extended periods of
