Description Associate Laboratory Assistant at Providence Little
Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is
full-time and will work variable shifts. Providence Little Company

Surgeon General for 2024. The Laboratory Technician works under the
direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, and in their absence under
the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), to
provide technical, clerical and patient care support services. The
Laboratory Technician performs a variety of procedures including
venipuncture, skin puncture, specimen collection, specimen
processing and distribution and the operation and maintenance of
automated instrumentation up to but not including the resulting of

them. Required Qualifications: - Education to meet certification,
license or registration requirement. - California Certified
Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire or, - California
Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire. Preferred
Qualifications: - Phlebotomy National Certification upon hire. - 3
months - Experience as a Laboratory Technician in a hospital based
clinical laboratory. - 6 months - Experience as a phlebotomist. Why
