Los Angeles, California, OB - Hospitalist Opening

• Clinical Role:
  • Seeking a physician Board Certified or Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Health system, permanent employment opportunity
  • Full-time candidate is preferred but will consider less than full time.
  • Schedule:
    • 24 hour, in house
    • Hospitalist responsibilities will include :
      • Delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring, and ER coverage
      • Care of any unassigned OB and GYN patients whether they be admissions, OB triage, ER consults, GYN surgery, or floor consults
      • Assisting the community physicians with C-sections
      • Attending any emergencies when called by the RN-fetal decelerations, precipitous deliveries, PPH-while the primary OB is on their way (if they are not already in-house)
      • MFMs are available for phone or in-person consultation when indicated
      • GYN/Oncology is available for any GYN surgical referrals/consults for complicated cases
      • In addition to affiliated MFMs and neonatologists, there is good pediatric subspecialty support
      • Low/Average risk patients and more common high risk (hypertension, Diabetes)
      • Level III NICU
