degree- Public Health preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Applicant should have experience with coordination of community
projects and outreach programs. Applicant should have experience
and/or strong desire to work with urban-underserved Experience in
project management and process improvement is required.
Understanding of basic medical terminology including familiarity
with healthcare systems. Previous experience working in clinical
settings would be strongly preferred but is not required. Having a
master's degree in a public health related field is also strongly
preferred. Ability to organize administrative tasks. Facilitation
of timely and effective communication. Familiarity with shared
platforms such as MS Teams, Google Share Drive and Docs, BOX,
DropBox, etc. Experience in hosting virtual events (e.g. Zoom,
Teams). Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee
the management of research projects. Dependability as well as
flexibility to meet the changing needs of a dynamic program Ability
to work well under pressure and meet multiple deadlines Demonstrate
cooperative behavior and experience with positive-problem solving
and conflict resolution skills. Dependable and strong work ethic,
with some flexibility to work after hours to meet deadlines (if
needed). Working knowledge of research principles to aid Co-Pis and
project staff with tasks including: preparation of research
protocols; implementation of research projects including developing
strategies for primary data collection; data preparation for
analysis; preparation of grant deliverables. Ability to work
independently; make decisions; supervise staff; counsel staff to
resolve employee relations; delegate work and oversee timely
completion of projects with concurrent and confliction deadlines.
Willingness to gain expertise in the IRB process, including the
preparation and submission of applications and current policies
relating to human subjects in research. Experience with or
background in secondary data analysis of large databases and survey
research a plus. Ability to perform basic analyses, such as cost
analyses. Able to intellectually contribute to the overarching
analytical plans of research projects Previously published
peer-reviewed articles in health services research preferred
Description of Duties The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical
Innovation at Harbor UCLA is seeking a highly organized, reliable,
and motivated individual to join our team. The role is as project
manager (PM) for the Harbor-UCLA Department of Family Medicine for
a grant to look at adverse childhood events and chronic disease.
The applicant would be managing the UCLA-UCSF Aces Aware Network
grant awarded to the Dept of Family Medicine. This project manager
role will manage and coordinate the project under the direction of
the Clinic Co-Directors. Specific responsibilities will include
assisting with and coordinating Adverse Childhood Events screening,
analysis of data to identify appropriate patients for targeted
intervention to mitigate toxic stress, assisting with grant
deliverables, and coordinating and communicating with internal
researchers and clinicians. Responsibilities include overall
program coordination for the UCAAN grant and Population Health
Equity Fellowship. Besides general coordination, word processing
and other standard office duties, more specific tasks include but
are not limited to the following: Fulfill DHS contractor training
requirements (gain access and proficiency in DHS systems including
Teams, Outlook, Orchid, etc) Provide administrative and
organizational support to UCAAN Lead efforts for outreach,
recruitment, tracking, and follow-up of patients to participate in
UCAAN. This includes obtaining patient consent for participation in
UCAAN. Assist with the analysis of quality data and timely feedback
reporting Assist in the creation of the agenda, schedules and
timelines for group medical visits. Ensure material required for
each session including worksheets, reading material, snacks are
available at the start of the session. Track and document program
sessions with sign-in sheets, detailed notes, photos and any other
means deemed appropriate. Assist with survey-based evaluation of
the program by participants and families in collaboration with
project leadership. Collection and data entry from intake,
attendance sheets, and any pre- or post-intervention questionnaires
or surveys administered during the programs, and maintaining
information in a secure database. Responsible for purchasing,
tracking expenses, submit necessary forms and other logistics (
e.g. travel) related to the budget. Assist in the development of
educational curriculum for fellows as well as patients for group
medical visits. Participate in meetings to review existing
curriculum and update/develop new curricula based on feedback.
Assist and help organize sessions for capacity building trainings
for physicians and other UCAAN facilitators Benefits: Medical:
