POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: The VP, Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for the implementation and operations of all technology infrastructures which includes data center, network and server services, telephony, service monitoring, user support/help desk, workstation management, servers, storage and related software. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems and infrastructure. Partnering with the Lead for Business Applications, this position will lead the Infrastructure and Operations teams with overall responsibility for technology infrastructure planning and deployment of technology for various projects DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Partners with CIO and Directs to lead the technology infrastructure strategy and execution for the enterprise
  • Conduct product and vendor evaluations ensuring best in class technologies and partners
  • Works closely with and manage strategic vendor partner relationships. Setup and run the Governance with the partners. Build strategic relationships for creating value for the organization.
  • Participate in the formulation of the company's enterprise architecture and business system plans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the business.
  • Hands-on technical depth enabling direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting.
  • Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly-available server and network architectures.
  • Develop international budgets, schedules and plans for existing and proposed system development.
  • Provides infrastructure services vision, enables innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company's requirements and expectations.
  • Investigate business requirements with senior management and researches technologies to provide effective solutions. Closely monitors and evaluates progress of projects and oversees the smooth running of GTS operations.
  • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization as a member of the senior management team.
  • Lead GTS strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future systems across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.
  • Establish departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
  • Act as an advocate for the organization's GTS vision via regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users.
  • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in GTS systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with GTS investments.
  • Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems performance.
  • Ensure system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating systems.
  • Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
  • Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the organization.
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
  • Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal GTS resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
  • Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills:
    • 15+ years knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
    • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft stacks.
    • Working knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies, Cisco-based network communications technology, High availability and disaster recovery architecture, communication and related technologies
    • Experience with regulatory compliance issues, as well best practices in application and network security.
    • Proven track record at senior level of project management and development, particularly in a logistics multi office global environment
    • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
    • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
    • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to GTS
    • Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.

        • Contract negotiation and review - equipment leasing, maintenance, communications, outsourced services and systems support/development
        • Benchmark, analyze, report and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the GTS infrastructure and GTS systems.
        • Manage financial aspects of the GTS Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
        • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for GTS spending and initiatives.
        • Advise and implement all GTS policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
        • Develop requests for proposal.
        • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements. Operational Management
          • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all GTS systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
          • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
          • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
          • Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
          • Keep current with the latest technologies.
          • Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio.
          • Practice asset management for GTS hardware, software, and equipment.
          • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent GTS activities. Updating Infrastructure
            • Liaise with Country Directors to provide a technical consultancy across the region relating to application systems, software and network development. Troubleshoot where necessary ensuring all systems throughout the region run effectively, update where appropriate and within budget constraints. New Country and office Openings
              • Review local practices/technologies and systems. Assess local technical support companies. Plan, program approve local support systems and Manage third party and Herbalife manpower. Constant liaison with architects, banks, customs Telecom construction and Home office GTS Program planning. Staff administration
                • Manage GTS staffing, including performance management assessments, training plans, development, hiring, recruiting and disciplinary procedures General Administration
                  • Keeping up to date with legislation relevant to our operations. Working closely with internal and external auditors in relation to our policies and procedures to guarantee SOX, PCI and other statutory requirement Compliancy. Education:
