Job Description Job Description The role of the Conveyor
Controls Engineer requires thorough knowledge of electrical design
and engineering techniques, as well as PLC/HMI programming and CAD
skills. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring
judgment in evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of
engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devise new
approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings,
specifications, calculations, and monitor work for compliance to
applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, customer
specifications and CLE standards. Typical duties will include but
not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the
following: Confirm with engineers, customers, and others to discuss
existing or potential engineering projects and products. Design,
implement, and improve electrical instruments, equipment,
components, products, and systems for industrial purposes. Operate
computer and computer systems (including hardware and software) to
program; write software, setup functions, or process information.

project efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on
time and within budget. Direct and coordinate manufacturing,
construction, installation, documentation, and testing activities
to ensure compliance with customer specifications, codes, and
requirements. Prepare and study technical drawings and
specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation
and operations conform to customer standards and requirements.
Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential
engineering projects. Conduct field surveys. Investigate and
integrate (electrically) to vendor supplied equipment. Inspect
completed installations to ensure conformance to design and
equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety
standards. Provide on-site checkout and start-up support for
completed installations. Essential Functions: • Requires a broad
knowledge in electrical engineering and a solid knowledge or
principles and practices of related areas. • Requires a broad
knowledge of the application of electrical engineering to plant
constructability as applied to construct methods and materials. •
Performs assignments independently with little instruction as to
the general result expected and with guidance from department
manager and or lead engineer. • Provide technical direction and
on-the-job training to drafters, designers, and engineers. • Direct
and manage project development from beginning to end. • Define
project scope, goals, and deliverables from the CLE proposal
documentation. • Develop full-scale project plans and associated
communication documents. • Effectively communicate project
expectations to team members and senior management in a timely and
clear fashion. Hold regular status meetings with project team(s). •
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project
goals. • Manage project budgets. • Determine and assess the need
for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate
adjustments during the project cycle. • Set and continually manage
project expectations with team members and senior management. •
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate personnel. •
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts with the project team. •
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. • Plan
and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate
tools. • Track project milestones and deliverables. • Develop and
deliver progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and
presentations. Keep project team well informed of changes. •
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the
project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. •
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential
crises, and devise contingency plans. • Define project success
criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout
project. • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team
members and contractors, and influence then to take positive action
and accountability for their assigned work. • Conduct project
postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to
identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. • Develop
best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Skills/Qualifications: • Provide creative solutions to solve
customer problems. • Active Listening by giving full attention to

being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at
inappropriate times. • Troubleshooting of equipment to establish
the cause of errors and determining how to solve the problem. •

Customer service skills. Develop lasting relationships with client
personnel that foster client ties. Communicate effectively with
clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business
solutions, continually seek opportunities to increase customer
satisfaction and deepen client relationships. • Ability to
effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure
environment. • Bilingual English / Spanish desired but not
required. Robotic experience a plus Work Conditions: • Overtime
will be required in order to meet project deadlines. • Travel will
be required to participate in meetings with clients, field data
gathering, equipment check-outs and commissioning. Company
