Ingenium Technologies - Torrance, CAAdditional Job Postings: http://www.ingeniumtech.com/staffing/A Senior Project Engineer is needed to build a project plan for the successful testing of new products from start to finish for a large aerospace defense company. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Functions as the Design Authority for Products released for production.Supporting of production assembly and test areas by resolving issues, maintaining product integrity, and influencing product cost.Reporting directly to the Product Engineering ManagerProvides Engineering support to specific Product lines which can be more complex program in nature, and takes responsibility in providing technical guidance to Assembly and Test personnelTakes on product responsibility for many products simultaneously while still meeting program and department requirements.Defining and scheduling the development of equipment to meet production requirements for operations department. These include assembly fixtures and tools and production flow-line systems.Maintains product integrity and quality in production products.Resolving production problems, performing Material Review Board (MRB) analyses, and assisting in evaluation for possible notice of escape to customers.Tracking key company metrics including, but not limited to, first pass yield, product cost objectives, and Non-conformance turn time, to maintain and improve company performance and goals. These metrics may be used to support the goals of other departments.Developing a thorough understanding of all design principles associated with assigned products. Supporting the facilitation of design changes driven by the above items by redlining drawings, attending Change Review Board Meetings.Training, coordinating and evaluating the efforts of Product Engineers, Associate Product Engineers and Co-ops to support department goalsRequired Software: MS Office, Siemens NX design software and Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management softwareRequired Experience:10 years of engineering work experience in the aerospace and defense industry10 years of experience in designing assembly/test tooling and writing assembly/test work instructions10 years of experience with hydraulic, electric, and mechanical actuation products and their assembly/test methodsProven experience coordinating and interfacing with customers and/or suppliers on complex projects or issuesKnowledge and proven use of Root Cause / Corrective Action investigation techniques, LEAN, Project Planning, and Product line transfer and Data Acquisition and AnalysisRequired Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Masters of Science Degree in Engineering preferred.Position: Direct Hire, Relocation Eligible, Remote Work From Home not availableTravel: 20% domestic and international requiredCompensation: Highly Competitive with BenefitsLocation: Torrance, CA Employment Criteria: This position includes access or potential access to ITAR technical data.
