meet the evolving needs of our customers. The Sr Supplier
Development Engineer (SDE) will work under general supervision and
along the side of some of the world's most talented engineers. The
SDE position will work in a team environment as a key technical
resource for the Global Sourcing and Aero Manufacturing Engineering
organization to develop new supply sources and to improve existing
supplier capabilities. Responsibilities will include
cross-functional program management to qualify new suppliers,
develop new suppliers, increase capacity, support systemic supplier
improvement, and assessing suppliers to ensure process conformance.
The SDE must have in-depth technical expertise, manufacturing
engineering experience, and have comprehensive experience with
problem-solving tools.Key Responsibilities--- Support supplier
hardware transitions, supplier assessments / selection and the
development / implementation of supplier quality improvement
plans.--- Responsible for leading or participating in supplier
capability and capacity assessments--- Support or perform supplier
risk identification and mitigation assessments for capability and
capacity. - Drive closure of action plans to improve supplier
performance and maturity levels. ---- Solid process and product
control knowledge with full understanding of APQP application and
implementation.--- Plan and execute suppliers' Advanced Product
Quality Planning (APQP) per SQG-5525 and First Article Inspection
Reports (FAIR's) in accordance with AS9102.--- Provide weekly
reports to assigned transition team/s the supplier progress
regarding FAIR and APQP status.--- Strong quality engineering
capability including auditing, Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA),
Quality Management System knowledge, inspection planning,
functional test application strategy, and overall process control
from a risk mitigation approach. ---- Support communication and
compliance of regulatory / government / customer requirements,
engineering specifications and company policies / procedures.YOU
MUST HAVE--- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials, Supply
Chain, Business, Management--- Experience in one or more of the
following: Quality, Business, Supplier Management background
(supplier quality and/or development)--- Global Mindset: Capable of
working effectively across borders with employees, customers and
shareholders to develop business opportunities that lie beyond
community and country borders. - Supports sourcing for representing
quality to manufacture, deliver products and services
efficiently/effectively globally. - ---- Must be a US Citizen due
to contractual requirementsWE VALUE--- Strong process control and
quality management system knowledge base.--- Product knowledge in
mechanical / electrical components and manufacturing techniques.---
Ability to read engineering drawings / specifications and assess
for manufacturing capabilities.--- Comprehensive knowledge of
Quality Assurance Engineering and practices applicable to the
manufacture of aerospace products including regulatory, military,
commercial, and industry/customer standards (i.e., ISO9001-2000,
AS9100)--- Excellent communication skills including oral, written
and presentation.--- Ability to work effectively with
cross-functional teams consisting of employees, customers and
shareholders that lie beyond community and country borders. ----
Self-starter with ability to perform to department standard work
with minimal direction--- Ability to consistently make timely
decisions in an ambiguous environment--- Certified Green belt /
Lean Expert / Black Belt preferred.--- Expertise and working
ability with Microsoft Office Professional Suite--- Team Center,
HASP, SPOC, Net Inspect and SAP. -Compensation &
Benefits:Non-IncentiveSalary Range $83,200-$125,000For benefits
