Job Description We are seeking a Facilities Technician to perform a
variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of facilities
and equipment. This role involves maintaining industrial equipment
such as chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air handling units, and
humidifiers, as well as supporting HVAC maintenance and
troubleshooting. The position requires hands-on work in a cleanroom
environment and various building maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repair of
industrial equipment in a cleanroom environment. Support HVAC
maintenance and troubleshooting. Conduct skilled building
maintenance tasks, including repairs to doors, windows, and other
building parts. Install and repair electrical wiring, switches, and
other electrical systems. Operate and maintain a variety of
equipment, machines, and power tools. Estimate cost of labor and
materials for work orders and procure necessary tools and
equipment. Perform diagnostic testing to determine maintenance
needs. Monitor and respond to alarms from the Building Management
System. Receive and execute work order requests and maintain
records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices and upgrades.
Contribute to the continuous monitoring system (Isensix) to prevent
adverse impacts on critical equipment. Support Laboratory equipment
Maintenance/Calibration/Qualification program. Perform additional
duties as assigned. Essential Skills Facilities maintenance

Associates Degree / Trade School / Technical Certification in
HVAC/R, Electrical, or Plumbing. 3 years of related Facilities and
Maintenance experience preferred. Prior experience in
BioPharma/Life Sciences is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of
electrical technology, HVAC systems, and welding. Experience using
Building Management Systems and Environmental Monitoring Systems.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, detail-oriented,
and proficient in time management. Ability to work both
independently and collaboratively. Requires one week per month
on-call. Must be able to work full-time, on-site, in Pasadena, CA,
with occasional trips to Monrovia and San Diego. Certification as a

clean-room biotech research facility in office spaces, requiring
full-time on-site presence in Pasadena, CA, with occasional travel
to other facilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire
position based out of Pasadena, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range
for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements
