To this end, Honda strives to realize "the joy and freedom of mobility" by developing new technologies and an innovative approach to achieve a "zero environmental footprint." -We are looking for qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team. -If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future! -About this Position: -The Financial Analyst role will support financial planning activities for American Honda Motor's (AHM) Business Unit(s), provide system oversight for AHM's budget reporting structure and budget event management for AHM-solo. -The Financial analyst will support monthly/quarterly/mid-term budget management processes and reporting for both AHM-solo and North American profit management by coordinating with various operational business units. -
Role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles to understand key financial drivers and financial performance of assigned Business Units on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Financial Analyst will also advise assigned groups on financial implication of both investment and expense activities, and help influence business strategy/decision making by leadership to maximize both efficiency and profitability. -
Oversight of AHM budget system management (SAP) includes management of system architecture design/configuration of allocation structure for all segment to also enable reporting support on future new business activities.
Responsibilities include:

• - -Coordinate with Business Unit(s) and cost centers to be supported to build their budget and capital expediture planning for each forecast event; provision of financial advisory including managerial reporting advice, guidance of relevant accounting principles (i.e. IFRS) and other related managerial risk/compliance and assist in business decisions
• - -Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analysis through comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecast. Apply and review key performance measurements (i.e. PL comparative, target progress, etc.) and/or historical trend and report to finance management and internal stakeholders with any financial risk/future outlook implication
• - -Budget management system oversight, incl. preparing budget event setup for all AHM functions; manage budget system design and cost allocation structure/setup to facilitate reporting for business changes/new business initiatives -
• - -Assist on ad-hoc projects/non-recurring tasks over financial planning activities. Such projects include performance of research, collaboration across different groups withing Finance business unit (i.e. accounting, tax, treasury, etc) and/or multiple operational functions including subsidiaries. - ---------------
  Who we are seeking: -Required Work Experience:
• - -5 years minimum experience
• - -Big 4 accounting experience (1-2 years) a plusRequired Education:
• - -Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business AdministrationDesired skills:
• - -Strong analytical and data gathering skills
• - -Self-starter with great interpersonal communication
• - -Strong communication/presentation skills
• - -Understanding of Automotive industry (or conusmer market industry)
• - -Experience with ERP sotware (SAP/BOFC preferred)
• - -Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, advanced modelling skills) and Powerpoint

• - -Remote Hybrid role 60% onsite
• - -Up to 5 hours overtime/week
• - -Limited travel
