American Honda Finance Corporation (dba Honda Financial Services and Acura Financial Services), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., helps to satisfy the financing needs of consumers of Honda and Acura vehicles, Honda and Acura accessories, as well as Honda motorcycles, power equipment, and marine products. AHFC offers financing in the form of both retail installment sales contracts and leases, depending on the product and the needs of the customer. About this Position: The Accounting Operations Department ensures that all the source system balances interface to the Financial Statements accurately. This position is responsible for creating Footnotes, Disclosures, and analytics for AHFC's Financial Statements as well as supervising 3 associates to ensure that their submissions for schedules to internal and external customers are accurate. This position is also responsible for ensuring that accounting requirements are defined and executed accurately for new programs initiated by the business or changes in accounting standards Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Review and approve direct reports Journal Entries, Reconciliations, Footnotes, Disclosures and External Audit Requests for the Loan/Lease/Dealer and Asset Backed Securitization portfolios
• Retail/Lease/Wholesale and ABS Accounting - Accurate and timely monthly reconciliations of the loans/lease and Asset Backed Securitization portfolio
• Perform monthly reconciliations, analyze the GL accounts to detect any potential errors Develop business Project participation in defining accounting requirements, performing System and User Acceptance
• Continuous training, cross training and coaching of associates Who are we seeking:
  • BA/BS degree required in Accounting from a major university
  • 4 years of experience in accounting, leasing/loan accounting preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience using Oracle/PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management (MFM)
  • Credit Bureau reporting experience, CDIA experience
  • 2-3 years experience in supervising associates Other Job Specific Skills:

    • Familiar with Fidelity Auto Finance System a plus
    • Ability to manage employees, while multi-tasking large projects
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills
    • Exceptional knowledge of accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Proficiency with PeopleSoft Accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus
    • Previous experience with asset-backed securities a plus Additional Position Factors:
