Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will play an integral role in the
month-end general ledger closing process and be responsible for
preparing general ledger account reconciliations and journal
entries when appropriate. This individual will perform budget to
actual variance analyses on a monthly basis prior to scheduled
meetings with General Accounting Management. The Senior Accountant
will assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual
consolidated Financial Statements. Play a key role in the month-end
close process Prepare both standard and non-standard journal
entries to record transactions impacting the Medical Center and its
affiliates Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a
monthly basis Assist with the preparation of the monthly,
quarterly, and annual consolidated Financial Statements Assist with
the preparation of annual audit schedules Perform accounting
research and provide guidance for the recording of significant and
unusual transactions
